Jim Carrey is a somewhat tall actor, and you think of a Truman character as being a short guy with Napoleon's syndrome. Marlon seems more like a guy that would bring a 40 by and want to listen to reggae music after work than a white guy with blond hair who shows up with a 6 pack, if he's not an Italian guy that wants to talk business with you. It's not a bad movie, there are just a few inconsistencies about it.
The Truman Show is different than what you would think it would be. It's not meant to be funny, but it's also not a sad movie either. It's kind of like a part of hell, a slice of hell taken from the rest of hell broke loose.

She would claim to not be so innocent at an oppurtune time to benefit from doing so, but otherwise most of the time she was a lot like a shade of white, everybody else was just a little bit dirtier than her and she hated being alone, so she tried to adjust her image to either blend with others at oppurtune times, or to be different at oppurtune times. She had been the goody two shoes of her family as a kid, and wanted to look/sound a little bit more dangerous to others after she turned 18, so she traded in her poodle tht went well with her personality for a pitbull that would make her look tougher/scarier to people she thought were now the innocent bystanders (since she was now the dirty one, and they were the clean, straight ones, in her mind).

Get the Wholesome image mug.The fucked up thing about going to church is one of the main figures of Christianity is a Jewish guy, which never made much sense. It's not a matter of one religion being right and the other one wrong, but it's something you notice, that one of the main figures of the religion, though he was called Christ in name, was never a Christian himself.
If a main figure in Church was Buddha, more people would be skeptical about religion, but Jesus is someone they think looks like them, so he's one of them.

No wonder he/she wasnt thought of as fun to take to parties anymore by the people who once thought he/she was (some had never thought that he/she was fun to take anywhere or be around), he/she really thought of life as nothing but a competition, and had come up with spiritual answers to everything that other people didnt think were competition in life despite not really believing in any of the bullshit answers himself/herself. One thing a competitive person doesn't get is how much loss their is in a war that is considered won by the group that calls themselves the winners, they're too focused on the winning part to get it, despite claiming to be somehow deeper thinking than other people (depth is also no good if it turns into competitive bullshit). Focusing on something besides winning would actually cause them to look at negative things in themselves and other people and wonder if they're really such a winner that they claim to be, or whether it's just everybody else that is the bully, or the self-serving asshole, or the narcissist, or the negative influence.
