How you ask for something if you want maximum chances of your prospective provider's feeling like accommodating you. Be a "schweetheart" and do this every time you request a favor from anyone.

A friend was plowing out the neighbor's driveway across the road from me, so I slogged over and asked him schuper-schweetly if afterwards he would please also do a single quick "sweep-through" of the road-shoulder by my mailbox to remove just enough of the deep snow-drift that the mail-carrier could reach the box (I'd installed an auxiliary extension-mailbox for the winter, so his plow could just pass right underneath the box). He readily agreed, and I thanked him warmly; it sure beat having to pay big bucks for a plow-truck to make a special trip up here and push the snow away from my box just so that I could receive my weekly junk mail!

A huge quasi-sports shindig where everyone just wilts on the floor and lies there without moving.

The Winter and Summer Olimpics occur immediately after the actual competition, when the athletes are too exhausted from all of their strenuous competing to even sit up anymore.

implied consent 

Refers to the notion that if you get in the car with a dude and you get drunk, you are automatically agreeing to have sex with him.

Teenage driver: Dang it all --- I never really wanted to bother learning to drive at this early age, but I had heard all about the "implied consent" deal that new drivers automatically fall under, and so I figgered that it would be a great way to get all da hot chicks in town to spread their legs for me! What a rip-off!

An outdoor court-hearing where the procesution makes the defendant stand in a downpour to see if the discomfort of getting soaking wet will persuade him to confess.

I hear about arrainments occurring all the time; I don't understand why this practice hasn't yet been outlawed as "cruel and unusual punishment".

Someone whom people think may be guilty, but he is so careful and laws-smart that he may be able to weasel out of a conviction.

Billy Flynn was able to dishonestly counsel Roxie and his other guilty-of-murder lady-clients into being really good susspects, and so he always got them off the hook.
