The whole nauseating stupid-a** "Snowe-job" performance of da infamous arrogant/belligerent "lady of steel" former-congresswoman from Maine.
Representative Snowe initially claimed to be "all for the little guy" when she first showed up on the political scene back in the '70's, but she soon "showed her true colors" in a total opposite direction --- she always seemed to be opposed to any and all efforts that would actually assist/benefit John Q. Public, while supporting everything profitable but damaging to environment and health --- lobbying/voting against truly-helpful proposals/initiatives, habitually ignoring letters and phone calls from citizens, being "pro-nuke" and "pro-megabiz" all the way, and so on --- what a big bunch of Winter Olympiacs!

Elementary-school students are often already overworked and overtired, so the school should not pile even more labor on them by asking them to participate in that 0%!$@#& turkey-ticket raffle crap --- if the school needs more money, they should hold a bake-sale or something.

penny-wise and pound-foolish
Where someone compulsively saves money by buying super-cheap-priced foods like crackers and white bread, not caring/realizing that these salty/sugary/"empty-carbs" foods will make him gain unhealthy weight in a hurry. Ben Franklin was always sagely expounding about stuff like this, and just look at da deplorable "tubby" shape HE was in!
That balloon-bodied dude with clogged arteries in the ER never eats health-food stuff "'cuz it costs too much" --- talk about "penny-wise and pound-foolish" --- what good is being a penny-pincher and "fattening" your bank account if you're also gradually fattening YOURSELF in the process???

What detractors say to discredit the ancient Egyptians. In reality, the citizens of that area were little different statistically from folks elsewhere in the world at the time... there were the nice ones, and then there were the not-so nice ones.
Anybody who believes that there's no honor among Thebes hasn't read the history books --- it was a typical "mixed bag" of people, just like with civilizations everywhere.

pi r round
The correct way to say the equation --- "pie" are NOT "square"; pies are round. Cornbread and sheet-cakes have square corners.
"Pi r round" is correct for humans, of course, but you shouldn't apply it when feeding cattle --- their hay-bales should always be the rectangular type; with the round bales, the cows won't be getting a square meal.
