Pi Calculus

When π, the world’s most arguably beloved or beautiful mathematical constant, weighs the pros and cons of revealing too little or too much about herself in order to maximize her universal appeal, while minimizing any negative publicity or fallout, in popular culture.
With fierce fellow competitors like e and 𝜙 watching her every move to outwit her, it’s no surprise that π is perpetually paranoid—pi calculus remains a necessary evil for her to maintain her competitive edge.

DOGE Math

Short for “Department of Government Efficiency” Math. When a gang of smart alecks directed by some billionaire jerk-nerd come into the workplace and start accessing the personal data of allegedly underperforming or malingering math educators, or heartlessly email them over the weekend about their terminations, particularly targeting those who had unprovenly criticized the radical ideology of the MAGA cult or the conspiracies perpetrated by alt-right groups.
Guesstimate the number of firings that have so far taken place nationwide in the aftermath of the apparently vindictive DOGE math initiative.

The Democratization of Singapore Math

When more and more countries around the globe are fast embracing the Singapore math curriculum, or part of it, so as not to be left behind educationally and economically, as they copycat or emulate the best educational practices used by local math educators and tiger parents, who have helped put the “fine” city of Singapore on the world’s math education map.
Like the democratization of music, the democratization of Singapore math ought to force math educators in the city-state to embrace the courage imperative, by turning barriers into breakthroughs, or obstacles into opportunities, if they want to maintain an asymmetric advantage over their counterparts in other high GDP economies.

Righteous Triangle

A sin-ful triangle that continually needs to go for confession so that it could behave more like a right one on this side of eternity—until its last breath when it will be platonically transformed into a perfect one.
Guesstimate how many un-right triangles globally long to become a righteous triangle every quarter.

Pigeist

The name of an annual survey, where members of the Constants Club anonymously share how they feel about the number π, which is viewed as the most famous constant in the whole of mathematics, and in popular culture.
Lawyers of Pi are suing the producers of “Pigeist” for sneakily promoting or provoking jealousy, envy, or animosity among members of the mathematical constants community towards their highly popular client.

Promiscuous Pi

When the number π flirted around and even got intimate with some fellow numerical constants or buddies, which makes her feel or look like a loose or unfaithful number in their eyes, yet she was not forsaken nor rejected by her Creator.
Like the prophet Hosea’s adulterous wife who was shown love again as he bought her back as a prostitute, promiscuous pi too found freedom from her toxic relationships as she regained her dignity and self-worth, and found forgiveness and love.

Null Island

Located at zero longitude and zero latitude (or at 0 degrees north and 0 degrees east) in the South Atlantic Ocean—where the prime meridian meets the equator—where it would be if it actually existed.
Null Island is a mélange of real and imaginary geography, of mathematical certainty, and pure fantasy.
