Gravitational Refugee (noun)
Definition:
A person who must leave their current gravitational environment—whether seeking lower gravity (such as the Moon’s 0.16g or Mars’s 0.38g) or higher gravity (hypothetically)—to avoid environmentally induced organ dysfunction, musculoskeletal deconditioning, neuropathy, or cardiovascular insufficiency that would otherwise result in chronic illness or physiological failure.
Context:
Someone born on Mars who comes to visit Earth (hypothetical future where humans are on Mars), and they visit Earth but their heart is to weak to handle our gravity, their bones cant stand up as well to support their bodies full weight because now its more than doubled everything they’ve ever known except the transit. They would fair far better on Luna than on Earth if for whatever reason Mars was lost to them and they could not return.
Those same conditions we call diseases and chronic illness on Earth, when if they occurred in someone from say, Martian level gravity, no one would fault them or call them faulty, they’d just realize the environment, the earths gravity itself is deadly to some people, except currently all of those who suffer unnecessarily suffer daily and are told they and their bodies are the problem, they are not, this is just literally the wrong gravitational level for their bodies.

Clara is a Gravitational Refugee, she moved to Luna at 6 due to skeletal condition, and has adapted so well she runs and plays with everyone else now at 12. She’s even thinking about signing up for soccer.
Think I’d get accepted as a gravitational refugee? My neuropathy makes it hard to work most days and my legs never stop screaming at me, I heard they had uniform pressure there and without the storms causing pressure shifts they might finally stop screaming.
