Anything (usually software, but can be anything) that is promoted and marketed without ever actually being produced.

When I started Vaporware Records, I did so with the idea of never making an album but starting chaos none the less.

pt cruiser

A 4-door hatchback vehicle, released by Chrysler, in 2001 as a "platform all its own". Using retro style and economical front wheel drivetrain, the P.T. (Personal Transport) Cruiser is adaptable, fun to drive, good on gas and retro-tastic.

Though not as futuristic as the Vibe or the Matrix, the P.T. Cruiser was the first and the most recognizable of the half-breed car/suvs.

Combining the words "retro" and "fantastic" to describe something that looks cool and is reminiscent of stylings from decades ago.

cokeheads

A group of cocaine users.

They are usually found huddled around a coffee table with a top made of glass cutting lines or dbsls with razor blades, credits cards or driver's licenses.

I could tell from the sniffling when I walked in the door that this party had already started for the cokeheads.

pole smoker

Someone that performs fellatio at such an alarming rate that it causes friction buildup capable of small fires.

My shit still has third degree burns from the runin with that pole smoker at The Necto.

raid

Redundant Array of Independant (or Inexpensive) Disks.

There are several configurations of RAID.

Raid 0 = stripping with no redundancy
Raid 1 = mirror
Raid 5 = stripping across many drives with redundancy

There are many other configurations as well

Our new Dell server came with a RAID system.

Cube Farm

A cluster of cubicles in an office. From the top down, they look like an art farm or bee nest, hiving productive little workers into their cells.

I'm glad I have my own office now, escaping the dreaded cube farm.
