Any culture resembling pack behavior. Tribal is usually referred to in modern culture when referring to people who, as a group, are tattooed or modified to bare the look of african tribesman.

Tribal is also a form of tattooing that uses symmetrical patterns.

stretched lobes

Earlobes containing earrings that are stretching sufficiently beyond the base 18G posts that most people get pierced with.

Most people don't consider the process of gauging to stretched lobes "acquired" until you get to 0g, or zero gauge.
After slipping the taper through the healed piercing and following with the jewelry, I now had 1/2" stretched lobes.

The process of stretching a person's piercings from one gauge to a higher gauge.

Common gauging movements are from 8g to 6g, 2g to 0g and 1/2"g to 5/8"g.

Gauging too fast can cause tearing or a blowout.
I tore my ear the other day while gauging from a 4g to a 0g.
gauging by Denis Baldwin February 3, 2004
The expelsion of tissue from the back of a piercing if you are gauging too quickly. The tissue will "blow out" the back of the hole and heal in a lump, causing uneven stretching, tearing or other problems.
While pushing the taper too hard, I managed to blowout my right earlobe.
