Your lie in April (Shigatsu
wa kimi no uso) is an anime about a pianist named Kousei Arima who does not have the will the play after his mother's
death. The notes on the sheet music seem to disappear and he can not hear the notes of the
piano even though his hearing is completely fine. Kousei hasn't touched the
piano since 2 years back until he meets a violinist named Kaori Miyazono, who changes his life. Kaori pushes Kousei to play by putting him in piano contests. Kousei's mother forced him to play every note written on the page and
beat him. He realizes he loves Kaori, but Kaori already loves his best
friend, Watari. While performing together at a contest, Kaori faints and is hurried to the hospital. She gets a risky surgery done so she can have at least one more
chance to play with Kousei. While Arima plays in the finals, Kaori's spirit plays with him and he realizes she had died in the surgery. Her
parents give Kousei a letter from Kaori that says she's in love with Kousei since she was five and she never liked Watari. It also said Kaori used to play piano but switched to violin so that she could duet with Kousei one day. It said she was aware that she was about to die. Your lie in April is a very
good musical anime and I recommend it.
