When a thread on a forum has multiple pages, the title and initial posts interest you but it invariable descends in to three people inneundoing each other.

In a thread about something that interests you, on page 4:

easyguy403: "LOL Shirley never knew you liked fisting."

me: "threadrot! threadrot!"

threadcop

a person who enforces message board rules in an imperious, incessant, or otherwise annoying manner.

The term "threadcop" originates from the idea of calling a message board topic a "thread." This hails back to the naming conventions of older message board systems.

The resurrection of a dead thread in a forum. It's a simple contraction of thread-necromancy.

In our forum, threadromancy is frowned upon.

Bob is an annoying threadromancer.

The poster on a bulletin board who nags others about going off-topic.

Sally was the one who kept quoting the Op. She was being a threadmother.

reviving an old forum topic after many months, often simply adding nothing to the topic itself by only replying "I agree."

Poster: I think that Bush didn't actually expect to find WMDs, he was only trying to take Saddam out of power.
