sunyabuddhi

Sunya is a Sanskrit term which means 'empty' or 'void.' Buddhi, in Sanskrit, means many things. In this case, however, we are adopting one particular meaning from, and according to 'sanskritdictionary.com:' "The power of forming and retaining conceptions and general notions." Thank you kindly, Sir Monier-Williams. Thus, "sunyabuddhi" is the state in which one no longer lives beneath the burden of their own thought. That is to say, sunyabuddhi is that state in which a person now observes what is without analysis, judgement, or opinion. He is free from thought, unless he chooses to think. That, is sunyabuddhi.

Talking to oneself: "Hooray, when I woke! I got up and made my own bed. I carried my own cross---in mines stead. Out of that bedroom, and into the world for broke. I had a bad day, I say, though with honesty my bread, there is no loss or dread. Thus, I sleep at night deeply, breathing through my heels. In order to relay, Zen is breathed, not said or thought, in disarray." "Ah, before sleep befalls me again, I realized today, that Now, is sunyabuddhi, then.."
