snarking out

A practice commonly associated with but not limited to minors, snarking out is the act of secretly leaving one's house late at night, usually to go to the movies. Named for the Snark Theater in Daniel Pinkwater's Snarkout Boys books.
"Winston Bongo's building is slightly more complicated to snark out of, because they have an elevator man. In my building the elevator is self-service. That makes snarking out less of a challenge." - Daniel Pinkwater, The Snarkout Boys and the Avocado of Death
