AMD's low end chip, meant to replace the Duron. It is made to compete with Intel's Celeron D.

The Sempron 2500+ runs at about 1.7 ghz.

Sempron

A shitty low end CPU made by AMD. Considered a great CPU line back in 2004 for gaming, but AMD decided to not get up off their ass and actually improve their once great CPU.

Joe: What CPU do you have in your rig? I hope it's good.
Dope: Durrrr, a Sempron.
