An old Sikh custom where the brothers of a girl to be married beat upon the sarbhala to the point of near death experience. This custom is still carried out to this day by prideful Sikh families who can't see the tradition of their ancestors deminish. This can only happen once for a span of 2 years. Beyond that point the sarbhala cannot be touched.
