planned hammer

Basically a pre-scheduled bender. It's a result of turning 30 and having to plan your hangovers around other obligations like your job or your kids.
Sarah: Hey Kimmy, can you take my morning shift at IHOP on Sunday? I have to go to church that morning.

Kimmy: I'd love to, but I have a planned hammer on Saturday. I'm going to a kegger at Lorenzo's house, and i plan on getting white girl wasted.

Sarah: Can I come?

Kimmie: No way churchie.

planned obsession

When a large corporation plans a products availability to the market by the obsessive nature of their customers.
"Did you see the line of zombies at the apple store at 3 am yesterday? Guess they are waiting for the iPhone t1000"

planned obsolescence

A process which involves a manufacture to develope a product (such as a car, video game console, TV) with the intentions of making it obsolete and/or non-functional after a certain period of time in order to sales and profit. It has benefits for a producer (repeat purchases) but disadvantages for the consumer(waste of time and money).
Man, I have to go to the store again; my toaster broke and it would cost more to fix it than to buy a new one. Freakin' planned obsolescence.

planned rejection

A strategy that recently divorced people, trying to get back into the dating scene, use to experience rejection as they re-insert themselves into the dating scene. The objective is to deliberately experience rejection by someone who is known to be unattainable (owing to relationship status, class, or behavioural and physical attributes), in order to overcome a fear of rejection.
Bald, stumpy Louie pulled a planned rejection with that hot waitress to get the courage to ask out Amanda.

Planned Parenthood

An NGO that mostly gives educational information to people. They are a source for the pill, other contraceptives, Plan B aka emergency contraception, STI testing, HIV testing and counseling, pregnancy testing and counseling, abortion care. The organization's main principle is that every person has the right to decide when they are going to have children, how many they want them, and they believe that the best way to do accomplish this is age-appropriate, comprehensive sex ed including abstinence and information on protection should one choose to become sexually active. They are pro-choice and work through a large volunteer base to ensure that reproductive freedoms are not impinged on.
Planned Parenthood speakers came to my school today and taught us that people can get STIs from oral sex.

The Planned Parenthood people gave us a talk about sexual responsibility.

I went to Planned Parenthood to get tested. I was on the pill and I've only been sleeping with my boyfriend of 6 months. I didn't know that I should we both should have gotten tested before giving up condoms. They weren't judgmental and they treated me really well.

I went to the ER after one of my classmates raped me. They didn't tell me about emergency contraception. I found out I was pregnant a month later and I got abortion care from Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood is trying to reduce the rates of teen pregnancy, STIs and abortions in the US. Currently, we have the HIGHEST rate of all three in comparison to any other other Western/developed country. I don't know why people aren't doing more to advocate responsible choices.

Planned Parenthood

A pro-women organization founded in the 60's.
Contrary to popular belief, Planned Parenthood offers services such as breast-cancer screenings, STD screenings, general gynecology appointments, pregnancy testing, genetic counseling, and rape counseling.
So in reality, "pro-lifers" who picket outside of PP clinics shoving propaganda into the hands of many and yelling "you're going to hell" are often preaching to girls who are getting a mammogram, not an abortion.
PP writes referals to abortion clinics, and this is only done after ALL other options are discussed with the patient.
Most clinics do not administer abortions, but rather refer the patient to a safe clinic.
They make medical services cheap and affordable to women in need.
In philidelphia a Planned Parenthood clinic was having a problem with 'pro-life' groups harassing patients. They ran a program called Pledge-a-picket in which people would pledge an amount of money for every protester that month. All proceeds benefitted planned parenthood. When "pro-life"rs found this out, they left.

planned parenthood

a place that acknowledges women's right to control their own bodies and lives and give unbiased information unlike the pro-life who promotes ineffective abstinence-only education, puts women's health in jeopardy, spreads lies, and secretly hates independent, working women
I got accurate information about my options at Planned Parenthood unlike the time when I went to that bullshit Pregnancy Crisis Center.
