A word used by academics to confuse students and justify all manner of outrageous crimes against humanity in the name of education. It is primarily applied in situations when an academic requires the ability to smokescreen their own maladjusted intention and win unwinnable arguments with the minimum amount of effort.
Jane "Professor, I'd like you to explain to me why I got such a low grade."
Professor "Well I don't really have the time to explain the inner workings of pedagogy to you young lady. Even if i did, I'm not sure I could help you to understand."
Reaction by a teacher when criticised in students' course evaluations to adopt an apocalyptic siege mentality instead of simply knuckling down and improving their class.
-See what the students said about Mrs Y's course at the end of the semester? "incompetent ...inadequate... substandard..." Hopefully with a kick up the pants like that she'll have to pull the finger out next year.
-You're kidding! I just saw her in the principal's office screaming that she was being victimised! A real pedagogical waco!
A form of rationale and logical thinking that is closely backed by reality with a few minor changes pertaining to the sexual touching of prepubescent children. Is commonly used by pedophiles who wish to justify having sexual relations with young children.
Common arguments include but are not limited to:
"Children have rights too, and they should have the 'right' to have sex."
"Children actually enjoy it, despite what parents may think."
"The harm comes from society's views of adult/child sex, and therefore it is society's fault."
Matt: You know, if society just changed their views about adult/child sex, then maybe there wouldn't be so many traumatized kids with emotional problems.
Kyle: Wow Matt, now that you explain it using pedologic I don't feel so badly about touching little kids.
