A concept introduced in Robert Cormier's novel, I Am the Cheese, which refers to day-to-day uncertainty in life that can result in everything from a vague feeling of discontent to crippling fear
Oh man. I can really relate to the concept of "the Never Knows", and, in my opinion, anyone who cannot is either very lucky or an extreme sociopath.

A philosophical statement written on Mamimi's cigarette in the show, Fooly Cooly (FLCL). Some viewers believe that the full message is in fact, "Tasuku Never Knows Best," but it is disputed. The significance of the quote is relative to the individual.

One of the first, if not THE first psychadelic-induced songs ever created. The studio techniques used to create the song were (and still are, actually) revolutionary for their time. Definitely worth a listen, even if you are sober (it's an even cooler song when you're buzzed!)
Can be found on The Beatles' "Revolver" album.

A phrase used to add to the end of a conversation, when you have just realized you crushed the person's hopes and dreams.
Kid 1: Man I wish I could get back with my ex you know...
Kid 2: Well she's back with her ex-boyfriend, and hates your guts.
Kid 1: ...
Kid 2: But you never know...
Kid 1: I know huh.

The very first "psychedelic" song in the history of rock n' roll. Appeared on the Beatles 1966 album, Revolver. It was also one of the most revolutionary songs in studio recording history.
