Another completely fantastic band from Seattle, Minus the
Bear's
music is generally classified as alternative punk. The name references an old TV show, "BJ and the Bear", if you were to subtract the bear from this expression, you would be left with a BJ. With insanely clever song titles such as "Houston, We Have Uh-Oh", "Thanks for the Killer Game of Crisco Twister", and "I Lost All My
Money at the Cock Fights", this
fine group of musicians mainly sings about drugs, women, and booze because they know the meaning of life.
After becoming familiar with Minus the Bear's
music, the various track names often tend to become a part of one's regular speech patterns.
