More specifically, the act of parking in front of the house of someone that you are picking up and blasting the horn to let them know you are there.
Implies that you are too cheap/broke to get a real cell phone.

Mexican Cellphone Wave 

The name of the infamous cellphone wave done at concerts, coined by Coldplay on there Viva la Vida Tour. Commonly done before Coldplay does a cover of MJ's "Billy Jean". Examples can be found with a simple google or Youtube search. First done in Auckland, New Zeland March 19th, 2009, then called the "Coldplay Phone Wave" or "The Coldwave".
