1. A person who has gone astray; choosing evil principles over good, wrong over right, and lies over truth
2. A person who is not a member of any religion; choosing personal faith or spirituality over religiosity

1: Judas was a lost spirit because he had chosen evil, eventually corrupting his own soul.

2: Jesus must have been a lost spirit because he was not a chief priest underling.
