losing feelings

An excuse used by people who either have found someone better, were only using you for your body, money, or social status and now have it and don't need it anymore. Someone who uses the phrase, "i lost feelings" never really loved you in the first place and somewhere deep down they knew they didn't love you, but used your heart like a toy anyways. It only takes a day for someone who "lost feelings" to find someone new to sleep with and it will make you realize how worthless to them you really were.
"I can't do this anymore, I've been losing feelings for a while now, we had a good run... we're over"
