Farmers league

Term used by football fans to refer to Ligue One, because it's lack of competitiveness and the common practice of recruiting peasants to fill the squads of the many zombie-teams that compound this insignificant league.

Some may tag Bundesliga as another Farmers League because of Bayern's supremacy in Germany. This may be discarded as German teams don't perform nearly as poorly as French teams in UCL, neither German squads recruit farmers
Pionel Pessi fan: Penaldo is finished, now playing in Saudi Arabia away from big leagues like the Uber Eats Ligue 1, the best tournament on earth

Unbiased football fan: Ligue 1 not even among top 20 European Leagues. Saudi Arabian League way more competitive than French Farmers League. In Saudi Arabia there are many teams that contend to win the title, in France there's only one, whose president buys anything with oil, even the rigged and disgraceful World Cup that he gave to the Argentinian goblin

Farmers League

A term used to as an insult to define an Association Fooball league that lacks depth of quality.
A farmers league can have a couple of good teams in it, but if the rest are that bad that a "farmer" could play in it, then it can be labelled a farmers league.

Plumbers league is a term that infers the same meaning and is used on occasion.

A league that is won by the same side, over and over again is not necessarily a farmers league, as it can still have other strong teams in it.

Ligue 1 is a good example of a farmers league as it only has 1 good side. The rest of the league consists of mediocrity.
Bundesliga and Serie A are not farmers leagues, as both leagues are full of good sides.
Ligue 1 is a dead set Farmers League. With the exception of PSG, it is mud. My uncle , who's a plumber, could get a game for a club like Strasbourg. My aunty, who's a farmers wife, would get a game for Auxerre.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
