The belief that socialism will work, despite the the fact that it has never worked anywhere. Ever. The afflicted are usually highly intelligent, highly educated, but grossly lacking in the wisdom department. Symptoms include arguing a case based on feelings instead of reality, facts and results. Victims are often cursed with losing an argument, running away from said argument, only to re-emerge and relapse right back to arguing the same losing points, just a few weeks or even days later.

The current communist democrat party in the United States, truly has their base completely insanewashed.
