hobo chic
A style that incorporates your old clothes that still look good, but are falling apart with newer fashions. So you look chic, but kind of hoboish because you've had the clothes for too long.
Katie showed up in a chic ensemble: cute shirt-dress, a cultured pearl necklace with matching hair pins and great shoes. However her outfit was deemed "hobo chic" on account of her pin stripe pants she's had since she was fourteen, with the staples holding the seams.
