hinterland

Hinterland is probably German, because it is. It basically means as rural as you can get within range of a city. The phrase can also apply to any area in the stix, or way far out dude.

Jonas: Where does Steve live again? I always see him taking the 116 bus home.

Alistair: He lives way out in the English hinterland, up by Hemingstone. How the fuck did he get here?

Jonas: Probably banged a lot of important people.

Alistair: Yup.

noun. Hipsters who take to their phones to snap photos of their neighbors and other people doing something they don't like or illegal and post the photos to a social networking site, like Facebook, to publically shame them.

The hipsterantes were at it again and posted photos of the man's lawn being too high.

My friend and I were on the G and at Metropolitan Ave his Hipsterganger gets on! Dude looked just like him except he had a fu manchu mustache and was wearing a bandanna and red lumberjack. Freaky.
