Compound word, sounding politically correct, nonconfrontational, to be used in conversation when you are unsure of a person's gender identity or preferred pronouns.

I had a run in with a heshité at the store today, I was completely confused as to what their preferred identity was and didn't want to be called judgemental by assuming incorrectly or offend them by asking.
