fnaf effect

A ton of people start talking about one noun, and suddenly that one noun explodes everywhere on the Internet.
Scott Cawthon: Five Nights at Freddy's!
Internet: ok nice lets talk about that
(some time later)
Normies: WOAH FNAF!!!!!
Other People: Looks like that fnaf effect just happened...

The FNAF Effect

When a Indy Game becomes successful, then the fanbase ruins it via Toxicity, Fan Fiction, NSFW Fan Art, ETC. Ruining the experience for new comers, casual players of the game, and annoying those who don’t play the game alike.
I loved playing Among Us and Undertale, before they succumbed to The FNAF Effect.

Fnaf movie effect

The name of the emotional outburst you may get after watching the Five nights at Freddie's movie
Will: Have you watched the fnaf movie?
Abby: OMG YAAS I FELT THAT FNAF MOVIE EFFECT SO HARD I WAS SO EMOTIONAL!!?!
Will: I'm glad.

Fnaf 3 effect

In a horror game, when the gameplay is harder than it is scary, the game loses the “horror” part and basically becomes pure tryhard. It’s the fnaf 3 effect.
“Man the jumpscares in this game just make me angry now, they really got that fnaf 3 effect shit with the difficulty”

church hurt

church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
