fire-and-forget 

When someone sends you a text message, and after you respond, doesn't send you anything back. The sender fires the text and forgets, intentionally or not, to respond.

-I replied to Billy an hour ago, and he hasn't said anything about the party yet.
-musta been a fire-and-forget.

Sleeping with someone and then never calling them again; different way of saying ‘one night stand’ that sounds better.

Guy 1: Hey man did you hook up last night? I saw a girl leave your room earlier.
Guy 2: yeah but it was nothing special, just a fire and forget.

Fire and forget 

A weapon you can shoot and then forget about it after you've fired it. In games often considered weapons for "stupid people".

Dude that missile launcher is a Fire and forget weapon, i hate that guy using it, that was an unfair loss for me
