When someone's ego is so big that it literally smashes all other concerns, worries, issues, etc., thus effectively making them the overall center of attention. Commonly attributed to politicians, celebrieties, socialites, and a good percentage of women.

A.J.: I really don't see why Amber's rants about racial and gender equality have any bearing on the class's English discussion.
John: Relax, pal. She's just being egosmashtical again.
