dystopian future

An "era" where YouTube has replaced outdoor play in children / during childhood. This "era" started in the latter half of 2010's but intensified during and after COVID-19 pandemic. This "era" is akin to what sci-fi movies from 1990's ~ early 2000's has warned us.
The rise of a dystopian future where children prefer YouTube over outdoor play reflects the concerns raised by earlier generations in sci-fi films.

Futuristic Dystopia

A noun used in reference to many science fiction (sci-fi) books that involve topics like a perfect world. For example, it may involve the use of euthanasia (for killing) those who do not fit into the societies of the settings there. It may also be about a book with characters following a seemingly corrupted government in which orders people to give them their life partners (spouses), jobs, children, and more. It may talk about slaves that were born solely for work outside of the settings and disposed of after their work is over with in the world. Usually used as a new genre term or a category of fiction books.
"Did you read that book about a futuristic dystopia yet?"
"Yeah, pretty depressing. That boy got his whole genetic line in jeopardy because all of the identical boys were perfect and orderly except for him. He could have been euthanized and killed just because he didn't fit in. Too bad too sad, be actually dies at the end."
"Wait...what?"
"The government's crazy idea of a utopia is terrible in that book."
"Indeed, let's not even dwell on the topic of the already ruined world all that much."

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.

Foot prisons

Socks. Annoying, sweat-causing, non-barefoot enducing, everyday socks.
The first thing I do when I take off my shoes, is rip off the foot prisons I had to wear inside them. That's why I prefer flip flops, even in winter!

"I am Cornholio! You do not want to face the wrath of my bunghole, for I need TP!"
Butthead: Shut up, Beavis! (uh huh huh huh)
Beavis: Um, okay. (heh heh heh heh).
