Cooktail hour. The hour before you start cooking where you drink some type of fruity alcholic concoction to get you in the mood to cook. Usually done on a busy holiday like Thanksgiving when you have a lot of dishes to prepare.
T: Hey lil sis, did you put the turkey in? It’s almost cooktail hour.
K: yeah big sis, let’s throw a couple back before we start mashing the potatoes!
