1) In Wicca or other forms of paganism, a polite term for an "outsider", or someone who doesn't wholly believe in metaphysical, but still seeks the advice of diviners or "fortune tellers".
2) in Christianity:
a) a person who is identified as a Christian, but is not "born again"
b) a Christian who was baptized as an infant or is only a Christian because of family ties, but has not made the decision to follow Christ
