Anti-trolling

Trolling ironically. Commenting and responding to certain content in a positive, friendly manner as if to sound like a grandma supporting her grandchildren on social media. The process is best accomplished when a level of uncertainty or discomfort is achieved such as interacting with someone you haven’t spoken with in a while or a good friend who you’re particularly sarcastic with.
My influencer friend asked “how do you find motivation to get through a hard day?” and I responded “Anything involving whipped cream!” as a form of anti-trolling.

Anti-Trolling

1. When you stand up to trolls by using their own tactics against them-- petty insults, sarcasm, twisting words, in an attempt to 'troll them back'.

2. When you PRETEND to stand up to trolls --- but your actual motive is to encourage flame wars and mistrust in general... by labeling an innocent poster as a troll and getting other posters to believe the label is true, so they turn against the falsely-accused.

3. Anti-trolling, ultimately, is just another form of trolling. However 'well intentioned' a so-called anti-troll claims to be, ultimately anti-trolling only gives a troll even MORE of the negative attention he craves, and encourages more posters to get angrier at each other, for stupider reasons.
