unamarify

The act of diplomatically rephrasing or toning down a blunt, but valid, business point made by someone in a leadership position, particularly one who might be a little too direct for the client’s comfort. Often involves replacing phrases like "This is a terrible idea" with "Let's explore a few other options."
CEO: "This proposal is completely unrealistic and will lead to a disaster."
You (internally): "Time to unamarify this..."
You (to the client): "Amar raised some important concerns about the feasibility of the proposal, and we believe there might be a more practical approach to achieving your goals."
