A 2-4 or a Two Four in Canada is a large case of beer because a large case of beer is 24 bottles.
The first long weekend of the summer can also be called the 2-4 Weekend because the traditionally named Victoria Day weekend is a time for opening the summer cottage and getting the boat in the water. It is also the start of fishing season in a lot of lakes. Both activities require at least 1 2-4 for each male participant.

Let's grap a couple of two-fours and head out to the cottage to get in a little fishing on the Two-Four Weekend coming up.

(Noun) A case of beer consisting of 24 bottles. Usually enough for one or two Canadians. "Case" or "Box" are seldom used in lieu of two-four. Popularly consumed with a candle light dinner.

Husband: "Good there. Would ya mind gettin us a couple more Moosehead outta the two-four? It's in the snowbank on the left, eh?"
