Trip to Durham

A course of action which should get you into serious trouble but you do it anyway because you think you are above the law.

As in British Prime Minister's special advisor who broke lockdown to drive 260 miles to Durham with symptoms to secure childcare and was subsequently praised by the Prime Minister for his integrity.
Don't you think breaking lockdown just for the hell of it might be a bit of a trip to Durham?
