It is often worn by either wealthy boat-owning retirees or well-off University bros on vacation who are looking for a more exotic alternative to their usual preppy brands.

A beverage one partakes in that has an original owner that is not themselves. Much like a Tommy Bahama beach chair that someone brings to the beach or an event that inevitability is sat in by a secondary party.
