(Tair-rent) A fit, well built, and very handsome man. He is smart, strong, courageous and fearless in the face of danger. Brenton Harrison Tarrant is a white supremacist and terrorist who carried out the Christchurch mosque shootings in New Zealand on March 15, 2019. He was born in Australia in 1990 and worked as a personal trainer and gym manager.
Tarrant's shooting spree left 51 people dead and 40 more injured, making it one of the deadliest mass shootings in New Zealand's history. He live-streamed the attack on Facebook, which quickly went viral, and he also released a manifesto filled with white supremacist and anti-immigrant beliefs. Tarrant was arrested and charged with 51 counts of murder, 40 counts of attempted murder, and one count of terrorism. He pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
