Subvaporation is when a solid substance evaporates turning into a gas. It's similar to when a liquid evaporates except it's a solid evaporating. It's similar to sublimation, but it happens below the sublimation point. It's not sublimation though.
Ice or solid water goes through Subvaporation.

Iodine goes through Subvaporation. And iodine subvaporates faster when heated.
