Inspired by the Arikaans colloquialism for shame and empathy. ounounced "shame-pees". Any situation that a person may be in which for empathy is given, but sort of sarcastically. Can also refer to someone whose relationship status reflects single.

Ugh, sjympies, I didn't know that you don't like salad.
