Servomachinery

Precision machinery—typically robotic arms, actuators, or motorized components—that automatically follows or "serves" a commanded input with extreme accuracy and responsiveness. The key is feedback: a sensor constantly measures the output (like position, force, or velocity) and a controller corrects any error between the command and the actual performance. This creates machines that aren't just powerful, but exquisitely delicate and obedient, capable of tasks requiring micron-level precision or adaptive force. They are the digital muscles of automation.
Example: The robotic arm in an automotive factory that paints a car with perfect, even coats, constantly adjusting spray pressure and distance, is Servomachinery. So is the force-feedback joystick used by a surgeon to control a micro-surgical robot, where their tiny hand movements are replicated by a machine that filters out tremor, making the machine a seamless, precise extension of human will.
