“SCRG” is a Detroit-based abbreviation associated with the ScoreGang Crips, a Crip-affiliated street group originating on the west side of Detroit, Michigan. The term is commonly seen in graffiti, tags, and member tattoos as a stylized shorthand for “ScoreGang.”

The “SCR” portion is pronounced as a blended /skr/ sound (similar to “skr” or “sko”), reflecting the local pronunciation of “Score,” while the “G” stands for “Gang.” The abbreviation functions as both a condensed label and a phonetic representation of the group’s name.

“SCRG” is most frequently used in urban slang, street graffiti, and social media contexts to reference ScoreGang identity, affiliation, or presence in a specific area.
“You can see SCRG tagged all through Five Points, especially around the 24700 Block of West Seven Mile Road, that’s an abbreviation for ‘ScoreGang’ they’re a Crip street gang.”

ScoreGang (SCRG)

Also called: Hyena Crips (83GC), Two-Syxx Gang (26G), H-Gang, W7M ETGC, 5Pointer Crips

A small, African-American Crip-affiliated street crew from Detroit, MI, mainly repping Five Points (48219) around the 24200–24700 blocks of West Seven Mile Rd, near Grand River & Telegraph — locals call it “TeLA” or “26ZONE.”

Known for tag wars, hood graffiti, and turf beefs with crews like the R60s, Black P. Stones, R40s, and Vice Lords. They roll under the 5Point Nation (5PN) alliance of local Crip crews.

Tags usually read “83GC” (Hyena Crips Got Control) and are all over Five Points. More a street crew than a traditional gang — DPD & ATF in a Detroit News (Aug 2025) story said they don’t have formal hierarchy or major arrests, but rivalries and violence can happen.

Members call themselves “Hyenas” or “Heenz”, drop 🐺♿️😈 emojis, and claim they started around 2016 as graffiti crew B.S.S., evolving into today’s crew. Some claim Brooklyn ties, but that’s unverified.
“Every block in Five Points got ScoreGang (SCRG) or 83GC tags. Hyena Crips got control, no cap.”—Five Points resident
