A Jolly Roll-Around (JRA) is a casual, romantic encounter composed of rolling around in bed and making out instead of more serious sexual activity. A JRA serves as an alternative to an embarrassing one night stand, and is an end in and of itself. It is normal to take someone home with only a jolly roll-around in mind, and to have a type that one lusts after for JRAs. This type might be very different from what one normally finds attractive or would consider girlfriend material.
