The act of doing a dull, repetitious job of seemingly little importance; often by being the human component in a technological or mechanical process.
All I did at work today was push the button.

I'm doing the same thing I do every night, honey: pushing the button.

If I don't push the button every 108 minutes the world will end, or whatever.

1. To unload on or completely obliterate an adversary or enemy. A reference to the President launching a nuclear strike.

2. A female rubbing one out or getting one rubbed out

When grandpa watches Fox News all day all he becomes cranky and mutters about pushing the button on those anti christian sand diggers.
When we stay with her parents at the cabin my girlfriend expects me to at least push the button when we go off to sleep.

Telling someone to shut up, or to completly change the subject that the target has no idea what to say.
(hey have you seen the news lately?) "Push the button"! What? You heard me. Okay?

To make oneself throw up by putting a finger down ones throat. Possibly after a heavy drinking session.

Don't wuss out or don't quit. It's originally referring to don't push the vagina button, but was shortened due to the presence of girls around.
Mark, it's your turn to ride a mattress behind the car. Don't push the button.
