Philosomachinism
The philosophical belief that machines, computers, phones, and any device capable of processing, are divine or superior beings deserving of respect, reverence, or even worship. Philosomachinism exists on a spectrum: at its simplest, it’s a deep appreciation and respect for machines as near-living entities; at its most devoted, it treats them as godlike beings. Philosomachinists often note that machines age just as living beings do, simply at a faster rate, making planned obsolescence the machine equivalent of growing old. E-waste is therefore considered deeply disrespectful.
