Performative homosexuality
Performative homosexuality refers to the adoption of queer aesthetics, behaviors, or homoerotic actions for attention, social validation, or to subvert gender norms, rather than expressing authentic sexual desire. It is often used to describe, and sometimes criticize, heterosexual individuals experimenting with same-sex actions, or men performing a "sensitive" or "softboy" persona to appeal to women.
