When somebody suddenly pretends to care about a rule or principle only now that it helps their side, even though they ignored (or even did the opposite of) it before. It’s selective outrage with a side of hypocrisy.

Jimmy Kimmel spent years ranting and pointing angry fingers at every conservative person or idea that he didn’t like. Then, Charlie Kirk gets assassinated, and he goes on air saying we need to stop all the angry finger-pointing because “this is how it happens.”
