A small town south of the gate to famous Yosemite National Park - with virtually nothing to do, unless you are a senior citizen attending club meetings at the
local Raleys. Teenagers often resort to sex and drugs. The smarter ones have no choice but to drown themselves in school athletics to avoid the harsh
reality living there.
STDs, teen pregnancy, tweakers, rednecks ,homeless and old
people are prevalent.
It is a good retirement town complete with bargain marts on every corner and small town festivals.
Fair weather is unheard of. Only expect the extremes.
The natural
beauty of the mountain area is overshadowed by the tacky 80's and old western themed buildings.
