Not-On-My-Watch Syndrome
A chronic tendency to assume responsibility for solvable problems within one's immediate sphere of influence, especially when the well-being of people, animals, or innocent bystanders is at stake.
Symptoms may include:
Returning shopping carts that aren't yours.
Reporting hazards no one else noticed.
Helping lost children find their parents.
Rescuing animals.
Fixing small problems solely because leaving them unfixed feels morally irritating.

"Ah. Not-On-My-Watch Syndrome."
