Nerdguement 

A “Nerdguement” is when someone who is typically a nerd would start an argument about something he believes he knows a lot more about, than you.

My buddy Nolan sparked up a “Nerdguement” about iPhones vs. Samsungs.

nerdument 

A heated argument concerning a topic that the general population typically cares little about, such as string theory, Crispin Glover films and Zelda. Can often be found on Internet message boards.

Joe: "The Sega Dreamcast was clearly the most underrated console system of all time."

Jim: "Have we forgotten about the 3DO, my friend?"

John: "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to interrupt this nerdument."

A verbal dispute involving a fantastical, scientific, and/or video game related topic.

When Timmy and Benjamin began a nerdgument on whether Weepingbell or Ivysaur were more anatomically possible, I knew I had to leave.
