Nagavanshi

The term Nagavanshi refers to some of the Kshatriya clans among Hindus, who claim descent from the Nagas and Nagdevtas mentioned in Hindu sacred texts. Most of them trace their origin to sage Kashyapa and his wife Kadru . While some of them trace lineage through Nagas born in Suryavansh (Solar lineage). Some Nagavanshi clans across India are Bais Rajputs, Nadava Bunts, Kiriyathil Nairs, etc.
