A period in someone’s life when they simply eat alone. They have no person at that time to eat with… Which isn’t sad, it’s just their mouse moment; this moment is neither sad, happy, infuriating, nor is it disappointing. It’s just someone getting by through life.

I was halfway through my rice ball in my car which was parked in a random neighborhood, when I realized I was going through a mouse moment.

Based off of the 2008 Youtube video featuring a claymation of a mouse eating alone, a "mouse moment" is a term coined by TikTokers to describe when someone or themselves are eating alone, describing a deep sense of loneliness.

Yesterday after everyone had left the table, my dad was having a mouse moment over the kitchen counter. I felt so bad for him!
